Seeking a just and lasting peace Following their summer trip to Palestine and Israel, CSU professor Bill Timpson and pastor Jeff Wright will talk about their visits with NGOs working for a just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians at the Salon on October 13th. They will explore the history of both separation barriers and the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movements as related to the current conflict. The work of B'Tselem: the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories and the Arab Association for Human Rights (Association in Service of the Palestinian Minority in Israel), along with others will be discussed. Professor Timpson's peace work around the world will help inform the prospects for peace between Israel and Palestine. Salon duc Tape, a public forum sponsored by Strength Through Peace, meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 7:00 -- 9:00 p.m. at the Wild Boar Cafe, located at 1510 S. College Avenue. The formal program begins at 7:20. For more information, email Strength Through Peace, or call us at 419-8944.
